Mike O'Brien's High-End Brewfest at the Fremont Abbey

Posted by on Tue, Nov 3, 2009 at 8:22 PM

The SECB is having a perfectly lovely time at City Council candidate Mike O'Brien's basement party at the Fremont Abbey, where a crowd of about 40 folks are milling around quaffing high-end microbrews and waiting for the 8:15 results dump.

The crowd seems more hopeful than O'Brien is comfortable with, and when he addresses the group, he pointedly cools them down. "If it's within two points, it can go either way," said O'Brien of the forthcoming results. "If we're down more than two points, I start praying."

Just in: Mike O'Brien has 57.91%! No praying tonight.
