The SECB received a warmer-than-expected welcome at Christo's, a Greek restaurant on Alki that's the site of Tom Carr's party. "I tried to hold it as far away as possible from the Stranger," Carr to SECB, "but Des Moines wasn't an option."
Cyndi Laws, Carr's campaign manager, told the SECB that Carr's son, Sean, "was a really colicky kid," and that the owner of Christo's would carry Carr's son around while his parents ate dinner. "This is the only place they could actually come." Asked how she thought Carr was going to do tonight, Laws said she was upbeat. "We have all the people Sidran had, plus the environmentalists, labor unions, and the 34th District Democrats."
When the SECB asked Carr how he thought it would go he said: "It is what it is."
It's to dark to take pictures but the spread features pita, feta, spanikopita, and everything is delicious.
Bart Walden, the general counsel for the Mariners, is in the house. "Carr does a very professional job managing the office," Walden told the SECB. When asked how he formed that opinion, Walden backtracked. "I'm probably not well enough informed to explain that," he said.
A man standing nearby chimed in.
"Obviously Pete Holmes is unqualified," said the unidentified douchbag. "And the bar owners? Who cares?"
