Politics Who Hates Us More?

We were trying to be super nice to City Attorney Tom Carr and King County Executive candidate Susan Hutchison, but somehow things turned out terribly wrong. For instance, we thought voters would appreciate knowing Hutchison's rich history with the right-wing Washington Policy Center, Discovery Institute, and Republican candidates—it's her heritage—but it turns out Hutchison was trying to run as a "nonpartisan." Whoops. And our character profile, based on discussions with her past colleagues, was equally unbecoming. Meanwhile, our earnest attempts to illustrate Carr as a tough-on-crime bulldog who went toe-to-toe with petulant club owners accidentally portrayed Carr as a hamfisted bully. When I was at City Hall earlier today and ran into Carr, he didn't seem so thrilled to see me. Nor was Hutchison in September when she saw me at the back of a suburban town hall—taking careful notes about her plans to decimate human services. If it seemed unflattering, it's all a terrible misunderstanding. But the damage is done. So now, with the election just four days away, here's the question:

You anti-Carr bias is outrageous. Crime has gone down, and boisterous drunk people make our city disorderly. Carr has a lot of experience and you just don't like him because he doesn't play the Mr. Nice guy Seattle passive aggressive game.

Actually, you can answer your question by making a point to encounter both Carr and Hutchison on election night. Query Carr about anger therapy. Say "Blah! Blah! Blah!" as Hutchison answers question on TV.
Incidentally, thanks for posing question to readers without a multiplicity of Dan Savage-style first person references.

Jesus, Dominic. Your (and Christopher's) insecurities are so unappealing. Tom and Susan probably don't give a flipping shit about either of you, as you are insignificant bugs on the windshields of their campaigns. Your Carr story fizzled. That turd of a Hutchison piece was an embarrassment to your paper (and I say this as a Dow supporter). The Stranger's power is dwindling, and you've set yourselves up for a terrible fall over the next few years. Seriously. Bring your A game or go the fuck away.

Her best bet would be to team up in a ticket with fellow dingbat Sarah "Never A Thought In My Head" Palin.

Hrmmm cops still making their presence known in clubs last night when there were no events going on of interest, no problems to be seen, and nothing that should otherwise draw them there. Some seemed nice, some were harrassing people outside the club for no reason other than to question them on their drinking habits and what they were served.

@24 Yeah, Carr does, though i didn't vote for him because while i know he's a self-serving douche, the lengths she's going to hide her true hatred is creepy.

I enjoyed your writing until you starting prefacing his name with 'That Fucking Idiot'. Now, the truth that you're a 2 cent hack working for a zero cent rag comes shining through.
