"He's Called the Crawling Chaos, 'Cause He Can't Walk Yet"

Posted by on Fri, Oct 30, 2009 at 4:32 PM

This seems like a pretty appropriate video to watch just before Halloween weekend:

I appreciate how the narrator gets all the tricky Lovecraftian pronunciations exactly right.

Adorable! I'm going to a Lovecraft-themed Halloween party tomorrow. My costume is 'sexy Mi-go.'

They got all the pronunciations right except for "Cthulu." Apparently, according to Lovecraft himself, the C is silent.

Cthulu is the closest sound that humans can utter that is vaguely similar to the sleeping one's true name. Albino penguins were missing from this production.
