Go SOUNDERS

Wish I could be there! Sounders fans are the best, everybody jumping, screaming, singing, and smiling: the best face Seattle can have!

@4 Lalas didn't even wait for the game to get started:

"I don't think the home crowd will play to Seattle's advantage."

Really... I don't who's dumber, the announcers or ESPN for paying them.

Lots of shots, but we end with 0-0 - for the point win!

And the largest soccer game in league history!

Clearly the title from the post below belongs with this one, or at least with the picture.

Bleargh. Houston are thugs, and we are weenies. Seriously, they had forty pounds on us at almost every position. And not fast forty pounds, either; our fastest player, Zakuani, was invisible tonight. Tough defense. Ah well. If they win in Houston next, at least we have the consolation that they have to live in Houston.

Fun game. Drank too much beer, and my new rattle is louder than God vomiting.

@20, It's not the largest game in league history. It's the largest semifinal game, 7th largest including finals.

Also, I wanted to go down there and punch the ref in the fucking face. And the Houston goalie. He was a bitch.

@7

yeah we were screaming "you suck asshole" at every goal kick or more accurately every touch by Onstad that was long enough to yell at.

@17, I don't play baseball or anything, nor am I a Phillies fan. I just don't want to see A-Rod ever, ever get a WS ring.

If it makes you feel better, I was watching the Sounders game simultaneously on my laptop (the sound was down on the World Series to preserve my sanity).

The main problem was that we were giving Houston too much space with the ball and by contrast they were challenging us with pressure the moment we had it.

That was a fun night, and I got my first fan "yellow card" Seriously, fuck Qwest field and that wanna-be nazi bitch in section 134. She's a Susan Hutchison voter. She's fucking clown shoes.

Also, for reference, it was the first citation I have seen in our near section (134, 135 rows r - w) all year. So consider yourself a pioneer. (Also usually that lady is pretty nice)

@28, are you fucking kidding? That's AWESOME. Did you actually get a card colored yellow? Anything you can take home and frame? Or carry around in your wallet?

You're my hero.
