Just in Time for Halloween

Friends of Seattle has released this accidentally hilarious video—replete with spooky noises and uncomfortable pauses—hitting City Council candidate Robert Rosencrantz for admitting he wants to "change the culture of Seattle." Indeed, Rosencrantz has some ominous positions on women's reproductive freedom and pavement-heavy philosophies about transportation. But still...

Not nearly as funny as the Firefighters' video for Mallahan. What has happened here? Has the disappearance of the P-I just left such a giant vacuum in city politics so that the majority of the citizenry - not getting the Stranger, Publicola, Crosscut, etc - are completely without a map (the Times is for the suburbs)? All the bonafides once needed to run for city office are just - gone.
