"On my way to and from work in Tukwila I've had to walk past one of those obnoxious R71 signs," writes Slog tipper Chris. "I was torn between wanting to deface it and let ignorant bigots speak their minds. Well, it looks like even their god disagrees with them because the hail storm last night trashed the sign."

Let people be fools. It will pring you great peace to let them delude themselves.

I struggled with the same thing last November in regards to Prop. 8.

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father."

Now we can add yardsigns to the list. Thank you, Jeebus.

For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten sign.

I have kicked (more than)a few down...I struggled with it. Yes, I believe in freedom of speech, so the bigots do have a right to be heard.
I have had my own signs (for dog related things)vandalized, stolen, etc and it is frustrating...but still.
In the end, my boots took over, kicked the signs and punched high heel holes in them.
Might happen again today
