The Morning News

Posted by on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 8:58 AM

Reid's risk: Taking the public option to the full Senate.

A very heated pilot conversation: Or something. No one's yet sure why a Northwest Airlines flight missed the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles on Wednesday.

NATO: Endorsing a wider effort in Afghanistan.

Obama's approval rating: The worst drop in 50 years. (But it started pretty high.)

Also not approving: Sarkozy.

Annie Leibovitz: Does the Obama family portrait. (See if you can match the smiles.)

Microsoft: Falling sales, higher than expected profits.

The results of the LCROSS lunar impact will likely not be announced until mid November. The manmade crater was named "Cronkite" after the news anchor who was on the air for the Apollo 11 landing.

"The award will help cover Jones' caretaking and medical expenses"

You know what would have saved us some money? Universal health care. Apparently in countries with UHC lawsuits are often much lower (especially in the case of medical malpractice). High value settlements in our country are often due to the high cost of health care.

How exactly would Universal health care have saved us some money?
Does money for Universal health care come from a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
We pay, either way...
