Try reading the whole article. Nichols Jr sounds just as unstudied.

@1 -

you mean Nickles? it's pretty funny that a shill for Mallaprop, who boasts he now has all the "insider" support, is trying to label use that label for the real fresh voice of leadership, Mike McGinn.

"and I don't have a plan"

Well at least he's not a Cylon.

Actually, Christopher, if you hadn't so disingenuously cut-and-pasted, McGinn looks just as clueless. From the time:

During one question about homeless families, Mallahan choked up, calling the fact that so many children are homeless "heartbreaking," and saying: "I don't make promises that I can't keep, and I don't have a plan ... That's not much of an answer, but that's what I've got for you."

McGinn, too, said he didn't have specific solutions to homelessness. "We're going to have to put more of an emphasis on shelter," he said.

And again, I say this as a McGinn supporter: this is the kind of lazy shit that's going to really hurt your paper's reputation.

McGinn has written himself out of the office with his stance on the tunnel, and Mallahan is an empty balloon getting more and more frightened by the prospect of actually winning. Think the Schell years were bad? Buckle in for a shitty four years Seattle, and hope the soon-to-be all-powerful city council actually takes this opportunity to get something done instead of putting their decisions up for votes.

@2 for the win.

Whiny people for the continual loss. Here's a hint: You're all going to die someday.
