The Awl ran Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell's new campaign commercial. It preys on the common Virginia fear that stereotypical Italians will come and muscle in on the nice little state they've got down there:

Seriously, the actor hit just about every weird Italian stereotype short of chirping "It's-a me, Mario!" at the beginning of the ad.
