Politics The Battle Approaches

Electionland, our online town-hall forum where you ask and the candidates answer, kicks off with City Council veteran Nick Licata and challenger Jessie Israel in three hours. You can ask questions until 1:00 p.m.; then the candidates take over, and you can compare their answers and vote on them. Last time in Electionland—judging by your votes—City Attorney challenger Pete Holmes creamed Tom Carr.
You can also vote on the standing questions. The more votes a question has, the more pressure for Israel and Licata to answer it.
The most popular question so far: "Do you support the expansion of Seattle's streetcar network?"
The least popular question: "Have you ever dressed up as Superman or Wonder Woman?"
