Three readings today.

Bill Thorness reads from Biking Puget Sound: 50 Rides from Olympia to the San Juans at Elliott Bay Book Company. This will hopefully be an illustrated lecture, because if there are no slides, this will be pretty goddamned dull. Later in the day at Elliott Bay, Laura S. Kastner, Ph.D and Jennifer Wyatt, Ph.D, which is a whole lot of Ph.D, will be discussing the brains of the American teenager.

Kate DiCamillo reads from her new novel at the Central Library. The Magician's Elephant is "a magical story about hope and love". Also, presumably, it is about magicians and elephants.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
