Sock Tweetery

Posted by on Fri, Oct 2, 2009 at 10:35 AM

A conservative blogger in the UK has filed an injunction to stop someone from Tweeting under his name:

The order is to be served against an unknown Twitter user who anonymously posts to the site using the same name as a right-wing political blogger.

The order demands the anonymous Twitter user reveal their identity and stop posing as Donal Blaney, who blogs at a site called Blaney's Blarney.

Speaking of which, I gotta stop this asshole.

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa had this happen to him to, but all that happened was that Twitter deactivated the account. La Russa sued Twitter but the imposter was obviously not him (he had tweeted about the Cardinals having a good weekend because there were "no dead pitchers" - a reference to the fact that two active Cardinals pitchers died in the past decade) so the suit went nowhere. I wonder what this imposter has tweeted?

Tweeting is almost as retarded as Matt from Denver.

Almost.
