The Star Wars Uncut project, in which fans are recreating Star Wars 15 seconds at a time, is now about halfway done. Topless Robot posted a trailer:
I hope this movie gets a theatrical release. It's like a film festival for people with short attention spans.

We made a list of scenes from the trilogy. Anyone who wanted to participate could pick a scene and perform it any way they wanted. Then we put them on in order. It was fucking fantastic.
Some scenes were Interpretive dance. Some were strip teases. The famous Oly band KARP played the Imperial March. There was a thirteen foot recreation of a Star Destroyer that flew over the audience. There were stormtroopers shooting bottle rockets across the stage.
It lasted something like six hours and it never got boring. I'd love to so something like that again in Seattle.
