Compounding the issue is the Jim McDermott bill (that already passed the House) that would extend unemployment for another 13 weeks (till the end of the year) for the over 300,000 that will be exhausting their benefits this month including in Washington State.
Word is the Senate's finance committee will not act until AFTER this Health Care debate is dealt with. Congress has a recess until the end of the year in the 2nd week of October.
If 300,000 lose their benefits and homes it's goin' get ugly everywhere particularly for those that have already hit rock bottom so you better grab some protection now.
