O They Will Know We Are Christians...

Posted by on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 9:44 AM

...by the girlfriends we torture to death.

The 31-year-old, who also worked as a bikini model and had uncredited parts in The Fast and the Furious, Rush Hour 2 and Cradle 2 The Grave, was found dead this month in a Los Angeles home she shared with her accused killer and boyfriend, Brian Lee Randone. US authorities allege she suffered a slow, painful death at the hands of Randone.... It was so severe that Randone was charged with a count of torture as well as murder.... Randone, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, obtained a bachelor's degree from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and a master's of divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

I'm not being fair: Brian Randone wasn't just a pastor. He was also a mime and a reality-show contestant. A triple threat.

Aww, no lurid details. If you're going to post this stuff, it has to include the lurid details. Sheesh.

at this point, can we just round up anyone who actually makes it through rigorous reality-show screening and put them up for an automatic 20-year bid?

It's particularly awful because she, "didn't deserve to be beaten."

Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.

@3. So, the LA Times must think that there is a type of woman that does deserve to be beaten. Nice.

To be fair, that was a quote from someone in the story, but why the fuck would you use that as the article's headline?

Oh that's riiiiiight, 4. I forgot. You all can do whatever you want so long as you get down on your knees and make real sorry like. It's the REST of us who need to be held accountable to your moral standard under penalty of law, even when infractions of that moral standard harm no one.

The Moody Bible Institute was founded with a strong social justice component to it's mission of producing missionaries. It's sad it's become a breeding ground for the most self-involved, profiteering monsters who call themselves Christian.

@4- There's a song about a comic book about people like you, and there's a video for that song and this is a link to that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=092DUlx2h…

@7,

Any relation? Not teasing or anything, just curious.

@9- Dwight Lyman Moody was a prominent 19th century evangelist. He founded the Moody Bible Institute, the Northfield School for Girls and the Mount Hermon school for boys. The later two merged into the Northfield Mount Hermon School, a largely secular private boarding school for years 9-12 located in beautiful central northern Massachusetts. I attended NMH.

So you see, there is some relation. I used to hang out and smoke cigarettes on top of Dwight Moody's grave.

Wait - charged with "torture"? Don't they mean "enhanced interrogation techniques"?
