"Spiced" Is One Way to Put It

Posted by on Fri, Sep 25, 2009 at 11:34 AM

Spiced - Truly Chinese Cuisine in Bellevue was shut down by the health department yesterday for these violations:

• Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures
• Improper cooling
• Inadequate facilities to control temperatures
Poor personal hygiene
• Handwashing facility not working
Toxic items improperly stored

And the Pho Bac on Stewart was closed due to lack of available hot water.

Now it is time for lunch.

E. coli is a favorite spice in this type of chinese restaurant, truly capturing the fabled "5th taste", Umami.

Food prepared in unhygienic conditions? That's how you know it's authentic.

Spiced is great. When they reopen try the amazing twice-cooked fish.
