Re: Windows 7 Launch Party At My House!

Cabel Sasser contributes this gem:

Oh, and if you think the original video is some kind of parody, that it's actually Microsoft being ironic? First, I think you're wrong. Second, if that's true, they've done a terrible job of that as well.

Now if you want to see ironic, check out the Microsoft Tech blog in today's PI, where they propose actually enforcing the sales tax on software in this state so our state budget balances.

Perhaps many of you are already aware that Bill Gates is slightly autistic.

Well, as Lao Tzu observed: "When the leader is seated within the Tao, the entire nation flows with the Tao."

So if that is true, then...

"When the leader is seated within autism, the entire Microsoft nation flows with autism."

Which would explain Microsoft software's obsessive-to-a-fault attention to detail, bizarre organization and location of menu options and tools, and completely OCD interfaces that drive normal people crazy. To say nothing of the byzantine underlying structure of the Windows OS that provides myriad places for viruses to hide.

As a tech person, I feel enormous amounts of compassion for non-techie people who have to deal with the absolute obfuscation that Windows foists upon you. My condolences.
