Counting the Esoteric Book Conference, which is still going on at Seattle Center, there are three book events today.

Kenneth A. Burr reads at Elliott Bay Book Company. Coming Out, Coming Home: Making Room for Gay Spirituality in Therapy tackles three heavy topics at once. If you think you should go to this reading, you probably should go to this reading.

And Giuliano Hazan is at Serafina. If you pay $150, you can dine with the author of the classic pasta cookbook titled The Classic Pasta Cookbook. He is a titan of the cookbook world.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.

Giuliano is not a titan. His mother is a titan. Maybe that's why you've got a picture of his mother's book up instead of his.

I really wanted to go the Esoteric Book Conference, but it was too expensive for me. I believe it was around 100 bucks per person.

Fnarf, maybe Paul was referring to his physical proportions?
