Michael Jackson Is Still Dead

Posted by on Wed, Sep 9, 2009 at 1:02 PM

Dear MTV News: It'll be unexpected—and therefore newsworthy—when one of Michael Jackson's siblings shuts up about his death.

Also, after I post this, that creepy-assed family is getting neither a cent more of my money nor a second of my attention.

Are you kidding? He's a bigger gold mine dead than alive. Besides, now they don't have to worry he'll do something stupid.

What I want to know is, how much money is MJ's estate making off the big Beatles Rock Band and Remix issues today? They're selling zillions of the things. I know Sony took half of his share of whatever Northern Songs Ltd. is called now, but his corporate identity, which will never die, still owns the other half, right? That, and the massive boom in MJ sales right after he died and he's probably solvent by now. Dying makes smart business sense.

@6, I don't like the White Album very much. The Beatles weren't the same without Geoff Emerick.

Wait....Mr. Emerick did work on The White Album. Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, The White Album, and Abbey Road, right?

@8, a little, but that's the album he walked out of. George Martin walked out too, and went on vacation, though he came back for mixing. Most of the album was barely produced or engineered at all; it's the sound of out-of-touch hippies farting around. Some people think is part of its charm. I am not one of those people.
