Finally, a tomb accepts this strangest of guests:

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Seventy days after his sudden death, Michael Jackson will be interred in what may or may not be his final resting place Thursday evening.
A private funeral for Michael Jackson will be held Thursday in Glendale, California, his family says.

At least he wasn't buried in his own backyard like Elvis.

@1: That's a pretty convenient thing for an Elvis-is-dead sheep to say.

And in the end, he'll be just another pile of bones. Just like everybody else.

Fuck you, rayolite. The guy was a weirdo, drug-abusing, pedophile pervert. I hope he's burning in Hell right now. You can join him any time you want, too. Asshole.

After we read Dante's Inferno in my 11th grade English class we made posters (or at least my group did) of our own levels of hell. We put Michael Jackson in the lowest level, if I remember correctly. Steve Prefontaine was in purgatory.

How private can it really be, when there are many, many thousands of people buried at Forest Lawn, my grandpa included? That place is enormous. Like O'Hare airport & surroundings big.

Per Hunter Thimpson on Nixon, MJ's body should be burned in a dumpster.

Jesus Christ! 70 days to deep six the man? Why? Were they digging the damn hole with a teaspoon?

Yucca Flower, the news story I read said it was because "the family couldn't agree" on what to do with him. From what I can tell, the family would have a hard time agreeing on what day of the week it is, so that should come as no surprise.
