Done, Done, and Done

Posted by on Thu, Sep 3, 2009 at 2:52 PM

Dow Constantine, who is running for King County Executive, racked up the three most important endorsements for his campaign: the leading Democrats who ran against him in the primary. Fellow King County Council Member Larry Phillips, and Eastside legislators Fred Jarrett and Ross Hunter, threw their weight behind their former rival earlier today. The three men collectively got 35 percent of the vote in the primary election, and Constantine got 27 percent. Assuming that support unifies around the remaining Democrat—which these endorsements could ensure—then Republican Susan Hutchison is toast.

I'm sorry, Dominic. You see like a decent guy. But the simplistic inanity of your political reporting is almost too much to bear. Have you no editors over there? Dare I say that I actually MISS Josh Feit?

Having taken Poli Sci 101 myself, I'm not sure where you get this criticism from in this particular instance. Obama got 70% of the vote in King County and Gregoire pulled almost 64% there in 2008.

Hutchison sure looks like toast to me. Toasted white bread to put a finer point on it..

I'll bet Susan H wishes she hadn't worn that tank commander's leather helmet.

Do the math. Conservative Republicans like Suzie Q. can't get to 50 percent in King County.

Because voters count up endorsements and then automatically vote for whoever gets the most, like the electoral college!
