The Voice of Mike McGinn

Posted by on Wed, Sep 2, 2009 at 9:37 AM

As per Morning News, he's on KUOW right now.

As per an observation made after the Stranger Election Control Board endorsement meeting: His voice definitely could be more butch.

As someone whose youthful efforts to butch up were always defeated by my classically nelly voice, I loved how fluty McGinn's tone got during his primary-victory speech.

Is he supposed to apologize for his voice? I see he is less valuable because his voice isn't manly enough for you? What a bitch.

He's dreamy.

McGinn definitely has the C.C.'s/Cuff voting bloc down with his straight daddybear charms.

Who the fuck meeds a mayor who thinks it's his job to fight global warming as opposed to making our streets safe and pot holes filled. We're fucked if he wins.

The old hippies of Seattle are finally getting their "Seattle-way" Jerry Garcia for mayor.

Since Murray won't be a write in, maybe he is aiming toward a recall next year.

I don't live in Seattle so I haven't really paid attention to his politics, but that photo stops me in my tracks every time I see it. I agree with Baconcat, McGinn is dreamy.

Eww, I can't believe I have a crush on a politician. Kill me now.

@4 and 10: Note that I said "an observation made"—not by me—and that I did not actually express an opinion here. In fact, my notes on McGinn after his endorsement interview read, in total, "CUTE." I don't think I can say anything about the tunnel without it sounding dirty, but I like his politics, too.

Huh, he looks like he should have a deep radio voice, something a la James Earl Jones.

RE: Butch voice...you do know where in the country we live, right? Seattle just oozes submissiveness from it's vocal cords.

I don't care what he sounds like, I care about what he says. I'm not voting for him because of his "tunnel vision."
