FreakBits just released the (probably not definitive) Top Ten Most Pirated eBooks of 2009. Four of the ten books are, unsurprisingly, about sex. (Before Pornography — Erotic Writing In Early Modern England, anyone? Eh? Eh?) One of them is about Leonardo DaVinci (goddamned Dan Brown), three are how-to books (one computer-related and two home-related), one is a self-help book, and only one—the Twilight series, naturally—is fiction.

Except for the home-improvement books, these correspond pretty well with often-shoplifted books from brick-and-mortar bookstores, if you leave out the books that are stolen with the express intent to be resold to used bookstores.
