Sports A Reason to Root for the Cubs

Hey all you Seattle-ites who just cannot get into the Sounders and are disgusted with the Mariners' fight to keep strip clubs away from all the innocent children going to Safeco: one of the new owners of the Cubs, the Ricketts family, is an out and politically active Lesbian. This should make the annual face-off between the Gay Pride Parade and drunk frat boy Cubs fans a little more complicated.

But one of the other Rickets, Steve, is a rather nasty conservative who nearly beat Ben Nelson for the Nebraska senate race.

Though sometimes I wonder if it would have made any difference.

Yeah, yeah, the Cubs are "Completely Useless Before September". One of my bartenders told me the other night that ticket prices were going to drop as a result of the sale. God, I hope that's true.
