In Reality

Posted by on Sun, Aug 23, 2009 at 7:02 PM

He is no longer a suspect:

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a reality TV contestant who is suspected in his wife's slaying in California, was found dead in a hotel in British Columbia, Canadian authorities announced Sunday...

Jenkins was found in the hotel room, dead by hanging, said Farrah Emami, spokeswoman for the district attorney in Orange County, California

...he is no longer anything real. The horrible man hanged himself in Hope, which is far from Honor, MI but very near Vancouver, BC.

What would Hegel say about this, you ask? Oh, you didn't ask? Well, do you want to hear me connect this event to my thoughts on the human condition, race relations, gender, or general societal ills? No?

Here's a picture of a lady that looks like she's made out of lunch meat.

Someday, eventually, the author of this lame post won't be real anymore, and I hope that some other hack journalist is around to make a witty comment. You're an ass, Mudede.

This is pretty bogus if you ask me. I mean, if you're going to hang yourself, you should at least be classy about it and do it in a place named "Desperation" or something. "Hope?" What a fucking loser.

And then there's Mudede. That's a whole 'nother story yet.

I was in Hope yesterday when this whole thing was going down. I stopped to have lunch in the park while on a road trip east. There was a band playing rock standards in the park, songs like "Ain't that America" "and "Sweet home Alabama". People were dancing and cheering the band for playing these songs which I thought was strange since they were in Canada. Then before I headed out to get back on the highway with my sister we spotted a Rambo cut out on the side of the road with a hole where the face is and we took pictures of ourselves posing with our faces pocking through the hole.
Now that I hear about this guy killing himslef in Hope it just adds to the surreal feeling I always get when stopping in Hope on my trips east to visit family. I always stop there to gas up, it is just another depressing little town with chainsaw sculptures everywhere, it has a Twin Peaks surreal feeling to it. Its major claim to fame is Rambo was filmed there so if you go into a store to buy produce there is bound to be a faded autographed photo of Sly Stalone on the wall behind the cash register. Now it has this murder suicide story pushing Hope into the headlines again. But it will all fade away soon and people will just pass by the Thunderbird Motel and say "thats where they found that murderer. He hung himself." Just another sad event that Hope will be remembered for. But the sad thing is Hope is situated in a beautiful spot, it always feels like it could be something better but like many small towns is just a place to get gas and a bite to eat on the side of the highway.
