It's a good day to write your Senators, Congresspersons, and the White House, as they are clearly wobbling on the public option. Howard Dean says without it, reform is meaningless.

Don't let the bad guys win.

@2, by prematurely signalling their willingness to accept co-ops, the administration has just cut off at the knees any members of Congress who might have supported a public option (i.e., those few who aren't already bought off by contributions). That was a pathetic performance by Obama: a couple of half-hearted town hall meetings, and then off to Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon with the girls while leaving Sebelius to deliver the bad news on a Sunday. He should have been out barnstorming for weeks on end.

"Wobbling" is, sadly, not the word for it: they are face-down in the mud with a lot of "health" industry bootprints on their backs.

Obama has been mystifyingly ineffective on healthcare.
He never presented a plan, never really tried to rally support behind anything, and gave up without breaking a sweat.
It make you wonder if he really cares about the issue.

I'm trying to be as optimistic as possible. I'm hoping there is enough of a backlash for them to reconsider. The Repugs have managed to scare up angry crowds to do their bidding, we seem unable to rouse anything at all. Angry voters writing their Representatives could make a huge difference.

Obama: More proof that every generation gets the (Wobbling) leadership it deserves...

Guess you're all going to have to settle for Hope instead of Change. And isn't hoping really just wishing while being fooled into believing you'll get what you wish for? (Wish in one hand and shit in the other and tell me which one fills up faster...)

The U.S. Senate is letting it's corruption show. Corporate masters have bought and paid for it. The Democrats had better grow a spine.

Every time you don't take an action, an equal amount of House and Senate lobbyists pretend you support their America-hating position, and the press believes them.

Inaction is NOT your friend.

What action do you propose? Throw the bums out?
