From Brazil, a commercial about another way to save water... doesn't everyone do this already anyway?

I remember the great Ann Richards once joked in a speech that George Bush was the kind of fellow who stepped out of the shower to pee. It was the first I'd ever heard of it being even remotely acceptable to pee in the shower. Still can't bring myself to do it, but I must admit that would be one less flush. Because I also can't bring myself not to flush after each and every pee. Okay, that's enough.

I like this animation and the kids sing song voices (don't understand the language, though). This reminds me of something I saw a while back claiming that many (most?) men will admit to peeing in their own yard at some point - which I have done late at night when I didn't want to go inside, using the "saving water" rationale.

Yeah, I'm not a shower peer. Every once in a great while, maybe.

I'm trying to get better about not flushing after ever pee, particularly now that I work from home and have my own bathroom near the room that's my office. I've started upping my daily water intake, so I feel bad about flushing every 30 minutes or so. But, it's hard to break the habit.

athlete's foot? What are you eating? You shouldn't have fungus in your pee.

I guess that's a practical way to save water.

Not me... but then, unlike men I don't have a convenient pouring spout and would have to just let the pee run down my leg. EWW.

Wow...some people are really uncomfortable with their own pee.

It's a cute ad. I speak Portuguese and all the kids are really saying is, "Pee in the shower! Everybody should do it - men! women! kids! Brazilians! frogs! etc" And the writing at the end says that one flush is equal to up to 12 liters of drinkable water and if you piss in the shower, you can save up to 4,380 liters of water a year. Wonder if its really true.

I'm the other way; when I have to pee, instead of using the toilet, I strip off and take a quick shower.

I find it interesting that some women find it repulsive to have sterile pee running down their legs, in the shower, yet don't they have blood running down their legs, in the shower, during their monthlies?

Maybe it's just me thinking. I dunno.

When I was a kid going on multi-week canoe trips at a canoe camp in Ontario, it was common practice to pee on your feet to prevent foot fungus.
