Re: Re: Re: Town Hall Smackdown

Posted by on Thu, Aug 6, 2009 at 6:29 PM

You knew this was coming:

The early reports are sketchy. But apparently a mob of teabaggers began to riot after some were not able to get into a townhall meeting in Tampa.

"As the building filled to capacity, angry protesters stuck outside began to scream, yell, and chant," reports local TV channel 10 in Tampa. "At one point, those trying to get inside began banging on windows as Tampa Police officers quickly spread out guarding all entrances."

A reporter currently inside the venue says at least one fist fight has already broken out.

Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Castor of Florida was the target. The inspiration? Glenn Beck.

Adds the St. Petersburg Times:

The spectacle... sounded more like a wrestling cage match than a panel discussion on national policy, and it was just the latest example of a health care meeting disrupted by livid protesters.

Same crowd as the Palin rallies and earlier Ron Paul teabagger wankfests, we know where they get their marching orders. So far there has been a mock lynching, swastikas and SS references, and threats against members of congress. They are pawns, boneheaded shills for corporate sponsored GOP PACs, about as organic as a Dow chemical spillway.

This is what happens when unchecked anal cysts break and the poison goes into the blood system. Glenn Beck is poisoned by his own anal cysts.

From The Great Roob Revolution by Roger Price, 1970:

"The Roob, whose ancestors have existed for millenia, is the eternal plebian. His literary antecedents are Swift's Yahoo and Mencken's Boob...In Athens his progenitures murdered Socrates and condemned Aritotle; in Rome they demanded circuses and collaborated with Alaric; in Madrid they applauded the Inquisition and later Franco; in Paris they whooped it up around the guillotine; in London they beheaded Charles I; and in Berlin they almost Made It with Adolf Hitler. Time and again the latent Roob has appeared briefly in the foreground of history, never achieving power except as a mob and always being quickly repressed and condemned again to impotence."

Tea Party Patriots will not be stopped by union goons and Democrat Party thugs.

These are ordinary Americans in flyover country rising up against the Marxists.

And we will win in 2010 and 2012.

Barack Hussein Obama will be a one term president.

Since Lord Basil has been wrong about everything I find these assertions reassuring.

Although these people are making a scene I think the fact that there is no actual policy behind their screams makes it almost humorous.

Who said it?

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are [members of the other party]. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," he said.

Glenn Beck?

no.

Obama has changed his tune ...

"Kruglik once declared Obama "the undisputed master of agitation,"...
Obama learned well from the master agitator. Alinsky taught future radicals that bad things are often done for the right reasons, love without power is sentimental mush, power must be taken, and all change comes about as a result of threat and pressure.
Obama calls his Alinskyite experience "the best education I ever had."
Now he's passing it on to his groupies. He recently told supporters in Nevada, a state that will be hotly contested, to sharpen their elbows in the final lap of the race. Confront Republicans, he said, and "get in their faces."

"Be absolutely ruthless,"...

In the Alinsky model, organizing is code for agitating. For revolution. He had no patience for liberals who merely talked of change.
"Liberals protest," he wrote in "Rules for Radicals," while "radicals rebel." Liberals become "indignant," while "radicals become fighting mad and go into action."
"Liberals give and take oral arguments," Alinsky added. "Radicals give and take the hard, dirty, bitter way of life."
Dirty street fighting is at the heart of Obama's organizing. While he stands above the fray, his minions at ACORN are threatening, intimidating, confronting and even committing voter fraud. This is Alinsky's end-justifies-means morality in action. Whatever it takes to win the revolution."

It was an ignorant, classless tactic when used by uninformed far left dumbshits over the last 8 years, and it remains an ignorant, classless tactic when used by the Fox News inspired dumbshits today.

It's amazing how the Obama administration is so incensed about the "community organizing" itself. I think people are more upset about the imaginary deadline than anything else. As if health care is a problem to be solved in a couple of months. Regardless what the spin doctors would like you to think, these protests are not organized by political elites. The Repubicans don't have that kind of political capital. Are they encouraged? Sure. But the origin of discontent about healthcare has more to do with Congress trying to rush through bad policy than anything else.

And you guys think Ron Paul supporters are paranoid. Put away your tin foil hats. There are 80,000,000 people with private insurance who don't want to lose it. God forbid they should show up at a "townhall meeting".

Greg 26
@25: Let's suppose, for the sake of argument, that these people disrupting the meetings really are constituents and not plants. If that's the case, and they really are just "people with private insurance who don't want to lose it," they need to sit the fuck down and actually listen to somebody explain what the health care reform plan is about. Nobody's proposing that we get rid of private insurance plans. The protesters need to get their heads out of their asses and stop listening to Glenn Beck.
