In a stinging rebuke to The Stranger's liberal-lovin' primary election endorsements—which we published today—the 46th Legislative District Republicans have issued their own endorsements. In a letter to its members, the district's leadership writes, "In Seattle, we have about 20% Republican voters. So we do have the power to make a difference between electing an insane Democrat or a sane Democrat who is actually receptive to Republican policy and might even agree with Republican policy in the areas that are germane to the position that they are seeking." Those Republican-friendly candidates are:

· County Executive - Susan Hutchison (because she's common-sense conservative)
· Port of Seattle No. 3 - David Doud (because he was the 8th CD McCain chair)
· Port of Seattle No. 4 - Tom Albro (because he’s a business man, spoke at 46th & 43rd LD Republican meetings, receptive to Republicans)
· Seattle Mayor - James Donaldson (because he's our best chance at not ending up with Greg Nickels or Jan Drago!!!)
· Seattle Council Position No. 4 - Sally Bagshaw (because she is endorsed by Kathy Lambert, Reagan Dunn and Dan Datterberg)
· Seattle Council Position No. 6 - Jessie Israel (because she has Republican friends, has spoken at the 43rd Republican meeting and she's endorsed by Dan Satterberg)
· Seattle Council Position No. 8 — Robert Rosencrantz (because he has been receptive to Republicans, is frustrated with run-away taxing, thinks the city is over-regulated and is pro-small business)
· Court of Appeals, Judge No. 3 - Anne L. Ellington (because she's endorsed by Dan Satterberg)
· Seattle Referendum No. 1 (Bag Tax) — REJECT

May it be known: We like our Democrats good and nutty.
