Posted by on Tue, Aug 4, 2009 at 11:52 AM

Sigh. How do we counter this kind of thing? Right now I feel like the minority is going to get its way just because it's loud and scary. It's depressing.

When the Left loses, it does so merely by mobilizing the angry and the stupid to sit on their far asses and bitch.

this indicates how much money is at stake here. shit tons of money.

does anyone even know what the fuck the health-care proposal entails? i sure don't. i doubt these on-medicare-anyway yayhoos do. if the government sent a counselor to help their dumb lard asses with their health care they would kiss obama's feet afterwards.

SHOW UP.

DO NOT LET THEM SHOUT YOU DOWN.

And call 9-1-1 if they won't stop.

You have a right to speak.

Corporate America-hating neocons working for the man - don't get to interrupt you.

The creepy thing is that Republicans can't or won't allow themselves to recognize how brownshirty they're all getting.

That's what scares me the most about this whole business.

@14:

I'm guessing in most of these situations RRoO don't really apply; nobody's putting forth motions to be voted on by the attendees and such, they're just (or supposed to be) simple public Q&A sessions with the local rep.

@13:

Indeed, we HAVE seen this before, in Dade County, Florida back in November of 2000, to be precise.
