Gay on the Radio

Posted by on Tue, Aug 4, 2009 at 9:15 AM

I'll be on KIRO 97.3 FM on the Dave Ross Show at 10:00 a.m. to discuss Referendum 71. If the petition qualifies for the ballot, as looks possible, it will put the rights of same-sex domestic partners up to a public vote in November. We'll be discussing how referendum backers got the signatures (they lied), what pro-gay groups are doing about it (assembling an army to defeat the measure), and why the tax-evading carpetbagger and alleged wife beater running this campaign are doing it (for the sake of families, of course).

Don't forget to mention what it does for elderly couples who don't want to lose their benefits and end up sick and enfeebled with no medical support from the government.

The bigots are starting to sound a lot like the racists of the 50's and 60's. "Segregation Today, Segregation Tomorrow, Segregation Forever"
The other guy kept making our own argument. "If this bill passes we'd be forced to treat the gays like normal people instead of having state sanctioned discrimination." Yes it would.

It's really a testament to how much gay men and lesbians truly are hated that two incompentent jackasses on a shoe-string budget were able to cough up 138,000 signatures in like six weeks.

In tandem, they can't even explain how repealing the domestic partnership expansion--thus sadistically harming gay men and lesbians--somehow protects them and their families (not without flat-out lies, anyway). What loathsome and despicable people.

Hey, stranger dudes, how much does it cost for me to request a copy of the signatures so I can post a list of those from Seattle next to the Fremont Bridge?

With addresses.

Just wondering.

@10 I would be nothing, but right now the signatures are being withheld because the bigots are afraid we're gonna come talk to them about why they're wrong.
The list of names will be up on WhoSigned.org when they're available.

Dominic and others, why are you always SO SHOCKED when people lie and use scare tactics to defeat Civil Equality? I think it's time for Gay Citizens to use some scare tactics of their own. Oh you don't want to hurt any ones feelings or offend their Religious belief? Oh okay.

What if I showed up and demanded them as an elected official (cause my precinct elected me, natch)?
