No one can say "dumb son of a bitch" and mean it like a texan, I'll give them that much.

I guess it should be considered progress of some sort that referring to someone as "boy" no longer seems to depend on the color of their skin.

100-125 years ago this would resulted in a gun fight in that room. But I love how "fat boy" and "dumb son of a bitch" are said. Gotta give Texans credit for that with that accent.

The poor court reporter who was taking this down!

That's Joe Jamail. Won somewhere around $10 billion from Texaco. This is not a court, this is a deposition.

Give credit where it's due: Indymedia and Amy Goodman broke the Army surveillance story days ago.

And that Joe Jamail deposition video is so old it's got hair on it.

I think Giffy had mentioned it to me a while back, but the obvious hole in the Cash for Clunkers program is that someone could pick up a used clunker for next to nothing in a private transaction, then swap it to a dealer for the credit and eventually pocket the difference, whether they could do so right now or had to buy a new car, but then sold that new car ASAP and pocketed the difference.

It was such a poorly thought out stimulus break that it's not a big surprise it maxed out so quickly that the Feds were caught off guard.

Here's the smoking gun that, if authenticated, proves that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya:

I don't expect the Marxists in the media will pick this story up, until they have to explain why The Messiah has been declared a usurper by the USSC. I love watching liberals cry when their dreams are dashed.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Basil, Dear, I think the mildew is getting to you again. I'll be over with some of that nice bleach water tomorrow morning, and some more of that Folgers Instant Coffee you like so much. And yet - I'll bring you some of those Safeway Jelly Donuts. Treats are nice to have, aren't they?

If the weather's nice, do you think we might be able to get you out of that basement for a few hours? Some fresh air and a bit of exercise would do you a world of good, and I promise no one will get in your apartment while we're gone.

@8:

No, as a matter of fact that CAN'T happen under the "C4C" program, because one of the main eligibility rules is that the owner must have proof-of-ownership of the vehicle (e.g. title registration) for at least one year prior to trade-in, in addition to proof the vehicle was insured during that previous year. Last time I checked, most state DMV's weren't in the habit of back-dating titles, so unless one is engaging in outright forgery, it's just not going to happen.

@10 - LOL, that thing is a hoax for, among many reasons, the very simple fact that it says "Republic of Kenya" but is supposedly dated February 1964. There's just one problem - Kenya reached independence from the UK only in 1963, and was not officially declared a republic until December 12, 1964.

@10:

Interesting. Please explain how this copy, issued February 17 1964, refers to the "Republic of Kenya", at a time when Kenya was officially called "Dominion of Kenya".
WND's been had.

Oh, and Basil...Last time I checked, E.F. Lavender was one of the nicknames for Earth Friendly Lavender (a laundry detergent), not a registrar of the ersatz pre-December 1964 "Republic" of Kenya. Oh, and one more thing. In 1961, Mombassa wasn't part of Kenya, but Zanzibar, a thousand miles from where the Obamas lived in Kenya. FAIL.

That depo could be dropped right into a Coen Bros. movie. Thank you for posting this fascinating peek into legal realism, Texas-style.
