If leeks aren't your thing, Frosted Mini-Wheats with as-cold-as-possible 1% milk are a perfectly good way to keep alive during a heatwave.

How about frozen candy bars, especially Milky Ways?

I had one of those super cheap frozen pizza's from Safeway (like 2 for $3.00) and salad. And you know what? It tasted damn good. I may even do it again tonight

I love Frosted Mini Wheats. Both for breakfast and as a snack. Not to mention, they are good for you and considering all the new flavors, makes them even better.

Also, I'm with you on the 1% milk. 2% seems too heavy and non-fat is like powdered milk (blah).

Funny, I was really just craving cereal for lunch after being outside for 20 minutes. Alas, no milk in the house, so am having yogurt, which is nice and cool and soothing...

I am having fruit from the market with some gouda slices and tasty bread. And liquids, liquids, (vodka) liquids!

WTF people still drink cow milk? Where do they even sell that in Seattle? Even my 60 year old republican dad in Spokane drinks rice milk.

Soy Milk
Rice Milk
Hazelnut Milk
Almond Milk
Hemp Milk
Oat Milk

Try it, join the late 20th century, stop drinking lactose and trans fat and cow pus.

Nice try... but very few, if any, are buying your diatribe....except maybe the one idiot out there that thinks maybe they can get stone from a bowl of fruity pebbles with "hemp milk."

@#7

To quote (more like paraphrase) Lewis Black...."There is no such thing as soy milk, it's soy juice. How do I know? Because there is no such thing as a soy teat."

@14 Kim- Good call with the salt!

Vanilla Ice cream with a bit of fresh ground coffee sprinkled on it is good, too.

Julie @ 17,

Never tried the vanilla ice cream with coffee. Thanks for the suggestion.

Isn't Schmader a vegetarian? Frosted Mini-Wheats contain gelatin, which sucks, as they are crunchy and delicious.
