In honor of all the smart people going to Candidate Survivor tonight, here is an excerpt from a not-so-smart city council meeting in Santa Cruz California. "Um, we need the food, 'cause it's food and stuff." Yeah, what she said.

I feel for the public servants who were forced to listen to that with a semblance of respect for the constituent on their faces. Ouch.

This is an awesome representation of the mind set and general intelligence level in Santa Cruz. It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.
