Around The World In 943 Words

Posted by on Thu, Jul 23, 2009 at 10:15 AM

A sex slave's birthday, a columnist's female plumbing issues, doing drag on the Bremerton Ferry, doing "the zombie thang" in Fremont, the social safety net, government red tape, rad eye shadows available at Walgreens, helpful pharmacists at Bartels, favorite picks at Molly Moon's, threats of violence in supermarket aisles, an appeal to Kim Jong Il's better angels, thoughts on Hillary Clinton's sign (Scorpio), urging motorists to look out for pedestrians, a call for less aggressive pruning of bushes and trees ("earth don't need no mo' destruction, 'kay?"), a heartfelt endorsement of romantic love, and the placing of blame for our current economic mess—it's all in another breathtaking installment of Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid's must-read column in the Seattle Gay Noos.

Don't forget her book review!

Oh, and you folks who seem to never have read a graphic novel, globules are the way it looks in the book, and the maker of Blood: The Last Vampire obviously knew that and stayed true to the novel, so shut yo' piehole and maybe find yo'sef' a girl to hang with, 'sted'a taking punches at really fab films. 'Nuff said on that.

Does she speak like that in real life? Because dear God in heaven it's terrible.

Rajkhet's writing skills are my proof to the nonexistence of God in this universe.

I love her (writing)! She's the ONLY reason to read the SGN.

and, the only things worth reading, or watching or listening to, are either technically brilliant or brilliantly bad...all the banality in the middle is what needs to be avoided.
