IML Exiles The Wrong Pornographers

Posted by on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM

4a10/1247752753-ohnoyoudidnt.jpgInternational Mr. Leather—the annual BDSM beauty pageant held in Chicago—has banned bareback porn from its Leather Market. Um... I'm no fan of bareback porn. But if the powers-that-be at IML are going to start banning stuff from the Leather Market, gee, how about starting with the fucking disgusting bestiality porn that was being sold by one vender? The bestiality porn that was being played on a video monitor prominently placed near one of the exits? The bestiality porn you had to walk past to get to the food?

sad sad puppy...

I'm assuming that the bare back stuff is banned because they want to be seen promoting safe sex, right?

Oh! Does PETA know about this? I'm sure they could come up with some obnoxious protest.

I saw this one where a pitbull was doing it to a vegan riding a bicycle until they both died. Comments?

2 I thought the same thing but given the nature of these type of gatherings I can see how policing such things might prove to be difficult, I bet not that many officers would volunteer to attend such places. Lord knows what else they might be selling.

@10 Some hot leather police uniform replicas for one thing (at least they had them there last time I visited). It's two fun fetishes in one!

Utterly pathetic. Did you do anything about it besides post this, Dan? I think some kind of on-site protest would've been appropriate.

@10: So what IS the nature of "these things" LC? How many have you attended? Does this mean you're actually a leather tranny?

Dan, you are totally right.
And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

#20: I don't know about PETA, but what part of billions of animals being tortured and killed for ugly fashion and disgusting food doesn't seem worse to you than a few people raping animals? Both are terrible, but one is clearly much worse than the other.

The bestiality porn you had to walk past to get to the food?

I've always thought they should show videos of the immobile caged cows being castrated and bolted in the head to make your pot roast next to the front door at Smith.

Seriously, bestiality is terrible, but you're complaining about having to walk by videos of tortured animals on the way to buy your tortured animal carcasses at a tortured animal carcass skin convention?

Were they wearing condoms in those bestiality videos? Maybe they found a way to ban both bareback and bestiality videos without having to use the word bestiality.

28: Yes because long-term sexual abuse is way less terrible than dying.
Sorry but things die. And you have to kill to eat: plants are alive and amazing, too.
Fortunately after you're dead you're dead and it doesn't really matter.

Bestiality is still worst because no one in the animal rights community ever talks about it besides to say "it's not as bad as killing!" Ever wonder which factions of the animal rights community came up with that line? Oh, probably the dogfuckers who try to pass themselves off as "animal lovers".

#33: Animal rights people/groups speak against bestiality all the time. They're the reason bestiality is now illegal in Washington.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=animal+rights+group…

And I hope you don't make it a habit of telling sex abuse survivors that they'd be better off dead.

If you don't torture animals and then painlessly kill them for food -- fine. That's just not the case for the vast majority of meat you buy in stores.

Dan is a longtime proponent of animal torture (foie gras, veal, Quinn's, Smith). I seriously doubt ANY of the animal parts on display or sale at the leather convention came from animals that were not tortured their entire lives. That is why the post was hypocritical.

Cola 36
Being a proponent of animal torture and being a person with a perfectly average diet for his society are two completely different things.

This is coming from a vegetarian. Whenever I see other veggies calling people meat-eaters, carnivores, and proponents of torture and murder, I can't help but think of the pro-life people who can't bear to call it abortion and insist on calling it babykilling, even when they're on NPR.

@ 36 Thank you Cola! It is good to show others that we can be totally sane and equally annoyed by those that attack the lifestyles of others with rhetoric.

@35 Well reasoned post. Thanks. I agree that animals should be treated humanely as you describe although I think that the concept of rights applies only to humans. One doesn't need to ascribe rights to animals in order to treat them humanely.
