Ahoy, Sloggers!

We want your help. The entire crop of candidates for the Seattle City Council will be on stage on July 28 at the Showbox. What do you want to hear them say? Got questions about shutting down bars, rising youth violence, finally painting bike lanes in your neighborhood, declaring foie gras the official city food and pit bulls the official city bird? Want to know if they're conspiring members of so-called "War on Cars"? We'll ask them at Candidate Survivor!

The event is free, all ages, and has a full bar. Toby Crittenden from Washington Bus and a few panelists will ask the questions. When you've heard the wrong answer, you get to text them off the stage. So what do you want to ask them?

sounds pretty fucking stupid if you ask me since you are all sponsored by Coors - even more fucked up than 100 Rush Limbaughs x Sarah Palins

I would like to hear each candidate first answer (1) what is your plan for changing current zoning and/or building practices to increase density and/or create more middle-class housing (if any plan), and (2) along with your plan, how do you propose to address the inevitable NIMBY outcry from the wealthier parts of the city (Madrona, Madison Park, North Capitol Hill, etc.) who have successfully avoided having any increased density since the original Comprehensive Plans of the 70s?

My simple question:

What would you do, as an elected official, to make our city's streets and alleyways smell less like pee?

My question is for YOU, Dominic... What is The Stranger going to do about the objection raised to the event by Labor?

1) Why does Portland have a such a vibrant street food scene and Seattle seems to be stuck in the 1950's?
2) Why did so many good candidates get clumped up in Position 8?
3) Is it true that Bruce Harrell is cyborg?

You guys should ask some diversity questions because these candidates all blow on that aspect.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: condo conversion caps. Council nearly moved on these during the height of the boom, and now that pressure from developers is eased off, will they make moves in this direction?

Here's my blatantly special-interest question:

Currently, scooters and motorcycles require a parking sticker to park in Seattle, but that sticker is incredibly easy to steal since they're just tuck on the outside of the vehicle. Which of the following options would you support?

A) Allow two-wheeled vehicles under 250cc to park on city sidewalks, as long as that parking does not obstruct the flow of pedestrian traffic
B) Allow two-wheeled vehicles to park for free in Seattle
C) We should leave things the way they are
D) I refuse to take a position on anything, and will now talk aimlessly about "building coalitions" and "improving efficiency"

Please begin your answer with the letter of one of the four choices above. If we're unclear on your choice, we'll assume you're answering with "D".

Sorry, that should read: "Currently, scooters and motorcycles require a parking sticker to park in Seattle, but that sticker is incredibly easy to steal since they're just stuck on the outside of the vehicle."

It should be "stuck", not "tuck"
