How The Dark Knight Should Have Ended

Posted by on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 4:20 PM

Jonah is on vacation—I'm not sure exactly where he is, but I think he said something about Space Camp before he left—and so I'll have to work harder to keep the nerd quotient up on Slog. This video has been circling the intertubes lately:

Of course: Batman with a baseball cap dancing around with all his enemies and a midget Spider-Man. This universe is large. It contains everything.

You consider two years circulation on YouTube to be "lately"?

Is that Tagalog and English they are singing?

No, Paul, the universe is large precisely because it does not contain everything.

Did he just say "let's be afraid of god?"

That scene is from the Phillipino Batman and Robin, which is (I believe) available for rent at Scarecrow. The amazing thing about this movie is that it doesn't become a musical until about half-way through, up until that point its a bunch of high school kids hanging out or something. Then, out of nowhere there is a big musical number during a bank robbery. Since my copy of this film has no subtitles it adds a whole extra layer of WTF!

WAY more entertaining than any superhero/antisuperhero film/comic I've seen, almost ever.
