Currently Hanging

Posted by Jen Graves on Tue, Jul 14, 2009 at 9:09 AM

There is an unmarked "gallery" for two more days (through July 15) at 312 Occidental Avenue, home to the gallery portion of suddenly, more about which is here.

Suddenly, among other things, involves a component of guys going out into the non-wilderness—the I-5 median near mile marker 27—and creating tools like a table and various cutters, and if you'd like to go and see what they've done, you can and should.

The view from the median, seen in a video in the gallery exhibition, is just like the view from Freeway Park's viewing base: cars going by through a screen (in this case, of trees). It's the best part of the video. I don't have a clip, but I have other images. The first is a map and directions to the spot, and the other is a view of the gallery show. It also includes work by Eli Hansen, Joey Piecuch, Matthew Stadler, Zoe Crosher, and Boris Sieverts. Go.

Don't tell the ATF, but that is a still. Unfortunately the hooch it has produced is as disappointing as the art in that silly show.
