The Parking Lot

Posted by on Fri, Jul 10, 2009 at 8:33 AM

The end of this video...

...so sad, so empty.

On Thursday, July 2, the same day she was arrested for DUI, Kazemi purchased a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol for $100 from a man in the parking lot of the mall where she worked.

Only in America do gun dealers work the parking lots of malls.

From Charle's post Re: Police Confirm McNair Death As Murder-Suicide:
This is my last post on this crime.
Apparently you forgot to add, "until it isn't."

I want to know what gun she got for only $100. I'm not aware of anything available for less than three or four times that amount. Well, at least one that works.

@5: I doubt there's a waiting period for guns purchased in mall parking lots; I'm sure there's a parking lot discount, like those speakers people try to sell out of the back of their van because " the warehouse accidentally put too much on my truck".

And: just giving you a hard time, Charles, as usual.

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

McNair engineered his own demise.

Banna, guns and drugs are the only two things that sell for more on the black market than they do at retail. This is the main thing that made me question that $100 figure.

You're right about the waiting period, though.

It's probably a "hot" gun used in a crime, so someone wanted to unload it.

"Only in America do gun dealers work the parking lots of malls."

America's really the only place that has malls. Third World countries have "open air markets" or "souks."

Yes, Charles. Only in America guns are sold in parking lots. Did your degree come with a burger king crown or a free toy?

5280, my bet is that the gun was stolen, so selling it for $100 would still be gravy for the dealer.

@13, have you been outside of the US? There are malls everywhere now. Ahem, and have been for forty years. And there is a wide space between "America" and "the Third World".

Why did my post get deleted?
Can someone please tell me what is so sad and empty about this? Girl is drunk. Girl gets put in back of car and isn't very good at working her phone. Girl gets taken to station. Owner of car comes and puts something in it or takes something out and then he leaves. What am I missing here?

@18, because the girl in question had already purchased the weapon with which she murdered that man and herself just two days later. Here we see her looking on at him and breathing and thinking about murder and suicide. You don't think that's sad?

@ 9:

And now that the McNair murder/suicide is being investigated, the police may now possibly be able to track the gun to the first crime. Yay.

@19 Thanks for replying. Did I miss the part where she interacted with the football guy? I saw her trying to call him and not knowing how to use her phone. I understand she bought a gun that day...but she's acting just like any other pretty girl that got too drunk and shouldn't be driving. I guess I'm just saying that nothing you see here is sad. Yes, what happened 2 days later is sad...but this happens every day.
