Three readings today.
Erik Scott de Bie and Rosemary Jones read at University Book Store. Downshadow is a fantasy novel about a knight and a city and "tempting women." It is apparently a novel set in the Dungeons and Dragons "Forgotten Realms" universe. I didn't know they still made those.
At Elliott Bay Book Company, Mary Guterson reads from Gone to the Dogs, a book about "the one that got away." It's unclear if the "one" in question means a person or a dog.
But the reading of the night is at Town Hall. Dean Kuipers reads from Operation Bite Back: Rod Coronado's War to Save American Wilderness, which questions whether extreme envrionmental activists should be tried as terrorists. This is an interesting subject, and one that is sure to inspire some spirited conversation.
The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
