The sounders did not cream the timbers. They barely won a sloppy last 45.

SYDNEY (AFP) – People who live on vegetarian diets have weaker bones than their meat-eating counterparts, Australian researchers said Thursday.
A study of links between the bones and diet of more than 2,700 people found that vegetarians had bones five percent less dense than meat-eaters.
The issue was most pronounced in vegans, who excluded all animal products from their diet and whose bones were six percent weaker, Nguyen said.
There was "practically no difference" between the bones of meat-eaters and ovolactovegetarians, who excluded meat and seafood but ate eggs and dairy products, he said.

The crisis in California can be laid at the feet of it's people. They recalled Gray Davis, who wanted a modest tax increase, and gave themselves a Republican who can't govern and can't balance the budget. As things deteriorate, they should be forced to debate the initiative process and just how they, themselves ,have brought about this disaster. And other states with the initiative process should listen and evaluate before making the same mistakes. When pigs fly.

It took 31 years for Prop 13 to finally bear fruit. Way to go!

Sorry, the intersection where the bank robber got shot is not Crown Hill. This is more KOMO's mistake than yours. Crown Hill ends at the bottom of Crown Hill, which would be around 8th NW. The intersection is actually the border between the Broadview neighborhood to the north and the Greenwood neighborhood to the south. You could also consider the area to the west/northwest to be a separate Carkeek Park neighborhood.

2:1 is a creaming? An MLS team plays an amateur team, and wins by one goal. The Sounders did dominate, they had superior transitional speeds on the edges and nice tight passing inside, but I wouldn't say they creamed the Timbers. Had they beaten the Timbers, 3:0, maybe, you could argue they creamed them.

Good luck to the Sounders, I hope they beat the K.C. Wizards in the quarterfinals.

Timbers outplayed the Sounders, full stop. Without that first-minute goal to take their heart out, and some serious luck in the second half, WE would have lost 2-0. Of course, despite what the announcers were hyping over and over, it was our second team, with only Keller, Jacqua, and Hurtado from the regulars.

I could not believe how pitiful the field was in Portland.

Great game.

As to Cali IOUs, my sister is dealing with being paid that way.

Pitiful in what way, Will? It's FieldTurf, same as Qwest.
