"Come on fly girls/And wiggle them there bottoms..."

"Waffles's just pancakes
With little squares on 'em..."

A parody Roscoe's Chicken 'n' Waffles commercial from the movie Tapeheads (from comments over here):

Who among us does not want to hit a gong with a giant drumstick?

Thanks, taco hut!

Trivia for you - John Cusack gets stuck between floors in an elevator, just like in BEING JOHN MALKOVICH.

Roscoe's isn't anything like that set. It's a restaurant and their waitstaff don't wear uniforms. They don't do buckets. They aren't exactly upscale (although they seem to moving in that direction from their late night eatery days of the '70s), but it isn't a fast food joint like, say, Church's or (sigh) KFC - which has really, really lost its way, but then, corporations have a long history and a special way of fucking up food establishments once they're acquired. Here's their website:

A warning though....it'll make you hungry!

Correction: I guess Roscoe's started as an all-night takeout in Hollywood in the mid-70s, but by the time I got wind of them in '77 (I was living in WeHo at the time), they had added sit-down service.
