I can't imagine Michael wouldn't want something extraordinary for his burial. Like wrapped as a mummy and entombed with a gold mask as King Tut and buried in some fantastic pyramid.

The man was talented and successful, and it's sad he died, but I imagine he led a very tormented life. His childhood was terrible, from his adulthood, I don't think he ever really got over that.

I think Michael had about ten minutes of happiness in his whole life, combined, probably when he was riding his train with a load of kids, pretending to be one of them again. Saddest man in the world, I swear.

Seriously, SLOG...no dedicated thread for MJ? I mean, I know this is the land of too cool for school...but this is huge news.

MJ, RIP. Off The Wall is probably in my top ten of all albums ever. You brought serious joy to my youth.

@2: it's going to be a tacky trainwreck, with delusional family and b-list celebrities falling over each other to pay tribute and gloss over the tragic self-loathing that lead to his death.

agreed @ timothy, WTF slog, and he is dead, as reported in NY Times 4 minutes ago.

my question is, where is the candle light vigil going to be in Seattle, or better yet, the drunken MJ remembrance party!

@5 is right. MJ deserves at least a Line Out.

Somewhere on my desk at home I have a signed CD from him (recent). Wow. Mind blowing day.

@11, that's hilarious. Does WiS have multiple personalities, who don't know what the others are up to?

It does not surprise me in the slightest to hear that the only Jackson CD Will owns is a recent (terrible) one.

There's no actual evidence of fraud in the Iran elections. Every claim about vote rigging has a perfectly reasonable and rational counter-claim. See IranAffairs.com for more FACTS about the alleged election fraud in Iran.

Don't believe what you're told. THINK: WHY WOULD THEY RESORT TO FRAUD when the opposition leader, Mousavi, is very much a regime insider and hardly a threat to the system?

See IranAffairs.com for more FACTS
