Life / Media Adding Insult to Mourning

I can only imagine Ryan O'Neal is getting bumped off a whole bunch of news programs this evening.

Maybe it's a relief. The sister of one of my college roommates was killed in a horrific high-profile crime (shot point-blank in front of a crowd of people at the diner she worked at) and my roommate was suddenly the "spokesperson" for the family. I don't know how she did it - particularly since nutjobs on both extremes of the gun control debate were really wanting her to make a statement.

Dying on the same day as Michael Jackson would be something pretty sweet to brag about... you know, if you weren't dead.

I'm also assuming the world is going to forget about the Iran protests too...how convenient for Khamenei and Ahmadinejad.

Yeah, I'm sure Ryan O'Neal's first concern right now is whether or not Farrah is top of the news hour, and whether or not he's getting calls to be on Larry King.

8: I don't mean he's hungry to do such shows, just that he'd likely rally himself to represent his beloved on this important day, and then be met with a weird klutzy scene no one could have predicted.

You know that Ryan O'Neal is wishing MJ was alive today, just so he could kick his ass for stealing all the press from his girl.

O'Neal seems to have forgotten he already did a movie about marrying someone on their deathbed, too.
