This guy is so shady! What do the hell does everybody think he was doing down there? Got an Argentinian woman preggers maybe and went to visit the baby?

Here's my theory: http://www.refresh-med.com/08/in/home.as…

Of course it could be a sex thing too.

Odds on 'took GF to South America for sanctity of marriage conference' running 2:1

@2 That's a good theory. It's at least as plausible as "sex scandal" or "mental health issues".

Oh, I LOVE me some Nicholas Brothers. Best dancers ever. Eat your heart out, Savion Glover; not even Sammy could touch these guys.

My theory on the governor is: Klan initiation.

Argentina? Isn't that where all the Nazis went after the war?

This guy is unstable at any rate. I love southern Republicans self-destructing.

What about the fact the guy ditched his wife & four kids on FATHER'S DAY!?!? How can you possibly run as a GOP 'pro-family' prude with that sin so prominent in your public record? If I'm campaigning against this guy, I mention this every three sentences. His career is finished.

His nominal excuse that he needed time to relax after a "tough legislative session" is crap. If it's so hard, maybe he needs a new job that isn't so stressful. Most "real Americans" consider time with the wife & kids to be a good way to deal with stress. Unless he has a horrible family, which would also end his career.

Most likely true reasons: smokin' Argentine pole (#1); snortin' Bolivian marching powder; bangin' latin shemales; medical tourism.

That last option would be great if he has the typical GOP line on health care.

Hmmm...

Breaking news in a press conference!

He's going to resign from GOP Governors group after admitting to an affair!

Yup, he's admitting he is having an affair, according to the NYT alert.

So much for my theory. Dan had it right on his first try: http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archive…

aww man, I overshot and went for the drugged up gay tryst theory*, but not to worry, this will do for now.

*= the "hows rejecting the stimulus package working out for you now?" jokes work better with the gay angle

i totally agree with you, fnarf. their dance number in sun valley serenade where they do the splits down the stairs just about gives me a heart attack every time. in a good way. they were often imitated, and NEVER equaled. thank you, dan, for posting this.
