a398/1245687951-100_1451.jpgI told you this happens at the National Gallery of Art, among other places. I came upon this woman randomly the other day at the NGA.

You get one fucking drop of paint on the floor and it's Guantanamo Bay for you, sister!

Luckily we're spared from people attempting such immoral acts in most other mediums due to our glorious infinity-extended copyright law. All hail our benevolent corporate overlords!

One at the Louvre, I saw a guy painting a replica, but he had extended it on either side and was filling in the extension via his imagination and the original artist's style. T'was pretty cool.

Wow, does the NGS get a cut of her profits from selling forgeries like that? Seems like that could be a pretty lucrative enterprise for galleries facing donor and federal funding shortages. (hee!hee!)

@3 I was just about to say that it would be really nice if you could see this at SAM.

@8 is semi right. Those people are giant pains in the ass. They can leave their shit there indefinitely. The only saving grace is that they're usually copying crap pictures.

Damn it! Why are we so fucked up with rules around here? Like #3 said: no pens even allowed...that goes for the Portland Art Museum as well. I want a fucking pen, okay!?! I mean, I wonder who took a pen in and squirted all over the paintings and ruined it for the rest of us?!? How is this woman allowed in with all that stuff????
