Gay People Need To Legally Marry...

Posted by on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 10:34 AM

...so that we can legally divorce.

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova is being sued for millions of pounds by a former lover who claims she was dumped without warning after nearly eight years.

Toni Layton, 56, who married the nine-times Wimbledon champion in an official wedding ceremony, is demanding a share of four multi-million dollar homes bought during their time together. Her lawsuit extends to the 'emotional, mental and physical trauma' she suffered after being 'removed' from 52-year-old Navratilova's life a year ago.

See? Gay people are normal!

Just like any straight person, the second they get pumped up with chemicals and win a bunch of sports events, they get hitched, collect houses like Hummel figurines and then have nasty divorces.

Celebrate equality!

My marriage no longer feels threatened by that athlete that only people over 40 remember.

What, no pre-nup? Dumb dumb dumb.

Presumably, if they were married in an "official" wedding ceremony, then it was in one of the states where it was legal. If so, they can get divorced just like anybody else.

Dang, and I was hoping to be included in a three-way for makeup sex.

Sigh.

I always thought that was the best part of not being able to legally marry, no jumping into binding contracts over puppy love.

Yes, because eight years of middle-aged domesticity is clearly puppy love.

I didn't know Navratilova was so heartless.

I really wish we could block certain people's comments from being seen.

Hey, I know someone has a script or something to block the unregistered, can you remind me of it?

@5, WiS, Fuck off. This is a gay or gay-friendly blog. Keep your obnoxious straight frat-boy comments to yourself. That shit doesn't belong here.

Didn't Navratilova already have one expensive "galimony" (I'm sorry...forgive me) breakup in the '90s?

It was her split from Judy Nelson in 1991 that was all over the news. Thanks wikipedia!

@10

You need to shut the fuck up with your bullshit. ( all one comment of it )

Will in Seattle is being EXTREMELY gay friendly in his comment because he wants to be with a lesbian couple.

You are the frat boy who happens (or does not happen) to be gay.

Thanks, Douchus at 14&15.

I'm a lesbian. Not a frat boy. I don't want to involve frat boys in my love life.
