Glenn Beckwatch: Drag Me To Hell

Posted by on Fri, Jun 19, 2009 at 3:57 PM

Your friend and mine Glenn Beck has received the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Award.

7338/1245448865-glennbeck.pngThe American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens, an organization that assists families of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty, recently honored Glenn with two awards. Dennis Wise, National President of the AFP&CC, presented Glenn with the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Award for distinguished public service, along with the Civilian Medal of Appreciation, for Glenn’s support of law enforcement and his defense of the Constitution.

Apparently in Glenn Beck's world, the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Award is supposed to be a compliment.

I can't wait until he's presented a Darwin award.

The Hoover cross-dressing allegation is an urban myth with no substance behind it - let's put it to rest already.

Cross dresser or not Hoover was a tyrant with zero respect for the right to dissent or for the U.S. Constitution. Our Civil liberities survived despite Hoover and not because of him.

Beck and Hoover are birds of a feather.

"distinguished public service"? What were their criteria, compiling an enemies list?

I'm pretty sure their criteria is related to fucking with commies.

I just deposited his award in my toilet. It was quite statuesque and looked like a chocolate Oscar. Since FUX News gets it's talent from the same place my toilet flushes to, I'm confident he will get his award from my asshole for all his contributions to the well being of turd kind.

I figured, but the story is still complicated.

One person Hoover hated was Dr. Martin Luther King. Hoover was hostile to the Civil Rights Movement. How did that work out? Well we have a national holiday to honor Dr. King. I doubt there will ever be one for Hoover.

Here is a link about Hoovers subversive activities against the American People.

10 That's true, he did everything he could to destroy it and you know he just had to had a hand in even more criminal actions. Let's just be clear tho that everyone knows Clyde Tolson was his special partner, and everyone knows he liked to wear women clothes. No matter how much some like to do revisionist history, I know that having an individual like Hoover in one's group is not something to be proud of but it cannot be denied that he has been the most powerful gay in U.S history.

This tells me more about the AFP&CC than it does about that douchebag Beck.

That being said, there is no doubt that Beck will be oblivious to the irony for receiving an award in the name of Hoover.

@ #11--Actually there is some evidence that our 16th President had a love affair with a close male friend. So Abe Lincoln may have been the most powerful gay (or bisexual) in U.S. history.

I can't believe there exists an organization that gives an award in Hoovers name unironically. I imagine them to be children of the convention attendees in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Oh, good grief, loveschild. Yes, he may have been gay, but he did not wear women's clothing. Please do some research, please. There is not a shred of evidence to support that myth. Perhaps you should stick to telling us how Jesus feels about gay people.

If the ACLU gave out the J Edgar Hoover award Beck would still get it.

@3: Who was it who said "When your face looks like a bulldog's butt, the prettiest frock can only do so much."

It's still funny.

I always thought cross-dressing was something engaged in primarily by Het males (drag queens excluded).

Dan, care to comment?

Funny, because if I ever had to guess which conservative would be most likely to incite domestic terrorism or civil unrest against feds/ the government in this country, it would be this guy.

Glenn Beck is a NUTCASE. Thanks a lot Bellingham, thanks a lot CNN for making him famous, before he then went over to Fox news.
